LIGHTS FOR LIVES COMPETITION
NiteRider Lightning Bug 1.0 Review By Darren O'Leary

Other than a quality bike helmet, the NR Lightning Bug 1.0 light is the essential safety accessory for your bike.
When you’re out and about, you need to be seen and this does the job with aplomb.
The single, super-bright, white LED light, which can be easily seen from just about any distance, has 3 operating modes to make you highly visible to others on the road, path or trail – steady, fast flash and slow flash. A Lightning Bug 1.0, like it’s siblings, weighs as little as 22g and occupies minimal space on your handlebars (not much bigger than a 50c coin. With its low profile, you will hardly notice it sitting on your handlebars while it provides the light you need to navigate your way.
The Lightning Bag 1.0 easily attaches to your handlebars with its wrap-around rubberised ‘legs’. This is a moulded membrane which incorporates a soft-push button on top of the unit as well as providing a water resistant seal with the outer hard plastic housing to protect the electronics and battery from damage and moisture.
There are 6 colours to choose from – black, white, blue, green, red and pink and with a total running time of 160 hours from the button-type battery, you will be sure to enjoy many hours in the saddle, safe in the knowledge that you are visible to any oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
I highly recommend these for anyone who is serious about their cycling safety and at only $22 from your local Gold Cross Cycles store, you simply cannot go wrong.
Get in, get one, get riding!
