L’EROCIA VINTAGE CYCLING IN ITALY

You may think that everyone aspires to own the latest carbon fibre team issue road bikes, but there’s a strong vintage culture growing in our own back yard. There’s a resurgence of solid steel framed bikes. Sure, some may claim that these bikes are not as responsive as their carbon fibre brothers… but, they’re solid and reliable!

In Europe, the trend of riding the heavy metalers really shines in this video. The L’Erocia is a 200km race on the Giro d’Italia’s Strade Bianche. But, with a twist. Participants can’t ride a bike built after 1987. Say what? And, it’s on a dirt road! Ouch.
