BIKE SELECTOR

ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR?

What size bike is right for me?

Goldcross Cycles has its own Bike Fit System to ensure you will be comfortable and confident on the bike (see below).

However as a really quick guide, you will need at least 5cm clearance beneath your inseam when standing over the bike.

The following can be used as a rough guide, but it is far better to allow a Goldcross Cycles team member to measure and advise you.

Inseam Measurement                                Rough Frame Size

Mountain             Road

Bike                     Bike

< 68cm                                                        13-16”                   47-49cm

68-76cm                                                      16-17”                   49-50cm

76-80cm                                                      18”                        52-55cm

80-84cm                                                      18-20”                   56-57cm

84-94cm                                                      20” plus                58cm+

We understand that every cyclist is an individual and so it the way you will ride your bike.

Our Bike Fit System is a dynamic three step process which helps to ensure that the bike will not only be the correct style for the riding you want to do, but also the right size.

This means you will be comfortable, confident and safe on the bike.

Of course if performance is important to you, this will also be improved.

Step One  - The Measurement.

We measure your inseam and torso using the Ergotek measuring stand. This provides a guide to frame size, frame length and seat height.

Step Two – The Quick Fit

We confirm the measurements by popping you onto a bike on a stationary trainer and checking the way that you as an individual pedal the bike, and how comfortable you are with varying handle bar distances from the seat.

Step Three – The Final Fit

If you purchase the bike, we then double check your riding position on the stationary trainer with your final pedal and shoes combination.

Your unique bike measurements (seat height, setback, handlebar reach and drop) are then written down and given to you for future reference.

This dynamic three step fit system will ensure the the bike is the right size for you and that you will be comfortable, confident and safe on the bike.

Oh - and fast as well if that is one of your cycling goals!
